Hello everybody! My Throwback Thursday entry this week will be about the anime Inu x Boku Secret Service, basically the title explains it all. The translation of the title would be Dog x I, (Boku is used to say ‘I’ for a male if they choose). So, this show is pretty much about a guy who is referring to himself as a dog and a secret service.

Inu x Boku Secret Service is a cute romantic, supernatural, comedy, drama because you can’t have romance without drama anime about 16-year old Freshman Ririchiyo Shirakiin moving to a mysterious rich mansion called Ayakashi Kan, a place that houses people just like her. Ririchiyo has always dreamed of independence, and moving to Ayakashi Kan is her first step to it; of course there’s a catch. Every resident of Ayakashi Kan must be accompanied by a personal Secret Service agent who stays by their side at all times. Her agent is not only super Bishounen, but he’s also a little on the crazy side when it comes to his beloved master.

I got into Inu x Boku Secret Service because of my mother. She has watched this anime many times, (probably five). I’ve re-watched it once, and died laughing all over again. It has its hilarious funny parts at the right moments, and it can also be serious when the time comes. (Actually it’s almost pure comedy.)

The anime has great characters that will make you (hopefully) love every single one because they’re all funny in their own way. Every character has their own personality that keeps them from being boring and the story is great with its unique and fun animation! Not to mention, six different endings are chosen based on the plot of the episode, or whichever character was most featured.

To be honest, I re-watched this show for the character Renshou Sorinozuka. He’s funny. Best character I’ve ever seen. I don’t think he can be replaced when it comes to hilarious characters. I watch it for him. I also watch it for Nobara Yukinokouji. She’s also funny, crazy, and just plain great amazing. One of the best weirdos in the show. I love her.

Don’t let the first paragraph fool you, this show is great! If you’re interested, you can find it in Crunchy Roll and Hulu in subtitles and The Anime Network in both English Dubbed (with a subscription) and Subbed.

Note: All of this information is based on the anime, please do not comment any spoilers, for the anime only people.

Thanks for reading!
